In just two days I'll be heading for the International Field Experience portion of a Fulbright program I am a part of this year.
I'll start with teachers from across the country in New Dehli where we'll meet educators and get accustomed to Indian schools. Then, I'll travel to Mahe, which small town on the Southwest coast on the Arabian Sea. There, I'll be met by Rathnakaran Kozhukkunnon Othayoth, (Rathna) is both the principal and math teacher at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyala school who will host me and Bill Clark, another Fulbright teacher from Vermont. We'll spend a week in that region, with an opportunity to meet teachers, students and administrators from Mahe district, as well as a few others. Then, it will be back to New Dehli where we'll check in with the group before finishing the program.
I'll then spend another 10 days in India visiting a friend and former exchange teacher in Sriningar, and sight-seeing.
I absolutely love to travel, so I'm very excited about this trip. Here we go!!
